Work Rights and Stay back Policies

  • Students can get a chance to do internships and traineeship programs in established firms through universities.
  • Students will get paid according to their working hours, and the country allows international students to work 20 hours a week.
  • A valid Resident Permit has to be submitted, and the Ministry of Labor will check if the student has spent 6 months in Cyprus for eligible to work. 
  •  Cyprus has the highest percentage of citizens of working age having higher-level education in the EU-30%. It is ahead of Finland’s 29.5%.
  •  During break time, students get allowed to work up to 38 hours per week according to relevant laws.
  • Third-country graduate-level students, after completion of their Master’s Degree, are allowed to seek work opportunities in the fields of their graduate studies, for up to a period of 12 months, according to relevant laws. 

Cost of Study in Cyprus

  • The cost of education in Cyprus is on average, tuition fees range between 3,400 and 8,000 EUR/year, or around 314 EUR/module.
  •  Masters programs cost 5,000 to 10,000 Euros per year.
  • All major universities and colleges have their own dormitories, and the monthly accommodation cost amounts to 150 EUR.
